I didn't realize that this film was based on a true story until after I started to watch it. It's basically the life story of a cold, hardworking man who ultimately get identified by the mafia as a killer and gets hired. He rapidly builds a body count from one contract to the next while building a loving family and home. Ultimately, his family finally doe s matter to him, which he recognizes as the only thing he has really cared about in his life. I love the way this movie covers several decades, complete with cars, clothes, and hair styles form the periods. The whole case is tope notch, including Ray Liotta. Michael Shannon is perfect in the role as the Iceman. He really is making a name for himself as a villain.
